This is a fine art print of the original watercolour & ink painting of the Great Pagoda in Kew Gardens. This Pagoda was completed in 1762 as a gift for Princess Augusta, the founder of the Gardens, it offered one of the earliest and finest bird’s eye views of London. 
This historic construction was restored in 2018 to its original 18th century splendour. This includes the 80 dragons which originally adorned the roofs, each carved from gilded wood.  
Despite this the pagoda has stood the test of time and witnessed key moments in British history, during the Second World War, British bombers tested their latest inventions in flight and bombs on this architectural treasure. The repairs to the holes in the roofs are still visible today! Pagodas typically have an odd number of floors, traditionally seven, however this one breaks the rule as it has ten!
