This is a fine art print of the original watercolour & ink painting of the Eel Pie Island and its surroundings, as seen from Twickenham.
Eel Pie Island is a small island on the River Thames, as seen from the Twickenham Riverside. The Eel Pie Island Hotel has been the epicentre of entertainment in Twickenham for over a century. It first hosted ballroom dancing during the 1920s and 30s. It then gravitated towards jazz and gradually towards R&B and rock in the 1960s. Some famous names who performed include The Who, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers (featuring Eric Clapton), Pink Floyd and The Rolling Stones.
